You put my hands on the wheel of life and I peeled out twice.
Once when we just started and again when we were almost home.
I was yelling and you were eating,
I kept saying how I could crash and we could die and how I wasn't in college yet and how a cop could stop us and how I couldn't drive.
You were laughing while I was driving.
"make sure you stay in the middle of the road, we don't want to go in the snow."
I looked at you and you were laughing more and still eating.
"give me my glasses then I can't see for my life"
You looked at me and said" you can see your just afraid to be blind. You don't know whats coming next and your afraid. Maybe the unknown isn't so bad you know? Take a chance Gab."
I was quiet and I pressed on the gas as we took a sharp turn.
"Relax baby Gabby. Where was the Gabby I met those years ago?"
"She took a break."
" yeah well life is a full time job and doesn't give vacation time."
We were laughing and I was still driving.
I wasn't thinking and I hadn't felt so free in my life.
" You make me do things I wouldn't normally do." I said
and we were going down the emtpy road between 23 and local roads that lead to freedom and to jail.
"Yea? I guess I'm your x factor."
I was driving.
