Love Poem
"I wanna coax you in,
Let you drive the lifelines that make up the global routes and interstates of my body.
They are empty galaxies,
Filled with streams of notable songs and unplanted ideas.
Unclaimed and uncultivated territories of wilderness,
With blustery wind spun curls and flame burned cheeks.
Spurs of momentary silences,
Where the warm elm and oak collide in a heat
And that is when the mountain was spinning in the grass,
Twisting with the soul inside of me,
Strings falling upward dancing,
Making pinwheels in the sky
As I trace my hands across my face I feel the melting of flaxen liquid soaking into my skin.
We were moving inside an unstrung thought,
Listening to the sounds of a smoldering wisdom of sandalwood incense and pine.
The scent of the burn folding against the vanilla jasmine oils was an unmoving film, muttering against our interlaced legs,
a purposeful knot unending conjugated and sewn with fingers and paint. "
She said this and the noises that came from her heart were ringing in his ears.
